To get there she won A Song For Europe on 11 March 2001, beating off stiff competition in the final including Swedish singer Nanne Grönvall.
Eurovision was held in the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, which held 35,000 people making it the biggest Eurovision live audience at the time. Lindsay performed 16th in the running order, and on the night hit the big note at the end of her song leading Terry Wogan to become very excited in his commentary!
Sadly the people of Europe weren’t quite ready for an upbeat, Europop song and Lindsay came in a respectable 15th place, picking up her 28 points from 11 countries. The song also reached number 32 in the UK singles chart.
Since then Lindsay has continued to work as a singer and vocal coach, including touring Europe with Paul Carrack and his band.
