Linda is a household name in Sweden where she has been releasing hit singles for over a decade. She has taken part in Melodifestivalen five times, reaching the final on four occasions. Alla Flickor (All The Girls) was her debut in the contest in 2005, finishing a respectable ninth place and reaching the Swedish Top 10. She took part again the following year with Jag Ljuger Så Bra (I Lie So Good) finishing seventh in the final, and peaking at number 2 in the charts.
In 2007 Linda released Värsta Schlagern with singer and comedian Markoolio. It reached number 1 in Sweden. The song is a parody of Swedish schlager songs, the type of up-tempo pop hits that have been popular across Europe since Abba won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974. The video for the song takes the mickey out of several well-known Swedish pop stars including Carola, BWO and songwriter Thomas G:son.
In 2008 Linda returned to Melodifestivalen and achieved her best result by finishing fifth in the final with Hur Svårt Kan Det Va? (How Hard Can It Be?). After releasing another hit Victorious with previous Eurofest performer Velvet, she took part in Melodifestivalen again in 2011 with E Det Fel På Mej? (seventh in the final) and Ta Mig in 2014 (eliminated in the semi-final).
Linda’s performance at Eurofest on 8 August 2014 was the first time that she had performed in the UK.
