Ace Wilder – October 2018

Ace Wilder Lower Res

Ace Wilder is the stage name of Alice Gernandt. Growing up she lived in various places around the world, including a long spell in Miami, USA. When she was young she took part in dance competitions.

She moved back to Sweden and started singing as well as dancing, forming the group Paper Moon Dragon who had a hit in Sweden with “Betty” in 2006. Ace started writing songs and also worked as a backing singer and dancer for world tours of other artists.

In 2013 Ace started to release solo material with singles such as “Bitches Like Fridays” and “Do It”. She came to wider attention when she took part in Melodifestivalen 2014 with “Busy Doin’ Nothing”. Written by Ace with Joy and Linnea Deb, the song came a narrow second to Sanna Nielsen losing out on victory by just two points.

That didn’t stop Ace from trying again. She came back in 2016 with “Don’t Worry”, finishing third, and in 2017 with “Wild Child” which finished seventh. And we will have to wait and see whether she comes back again for another try!
